Tiedepalsta Backup is a privately operated backup utility used by the administrator of Tiedepalsta.fi.
Google Drive access: The application accesses the administrator’s Google Drive through rclone to upload, list, retrieve, verify, and delete backup files according to the configured retention policy.
Data handling: Backup files may contain forum database records and user-uploaded files. These backups are stored in the administrator’s Google Drive account for disaster recovery purposes.
Data sharing: The application does not sell Google user data or share Google Drive account information with third parties. Google Drive is used as the backup storage provider.
Data retention: Database backups are retained according to the configured rotation policy. Uploaded forum files are stored additively and may be deleted manually when no longer needed.
Access revocation: The administrator can revoke the application’s access through Google Account security settings.
